Nigel Wildcat

Nigel Wildcat is a proud member of the Ermineskin Cree Nation. He grew up in Ermineskin, where most of his family still lives. He’s the first ECN band member to earn a CPA designation, and he currently works as a Senior Financial Analyst in the ECN Finance Department.

Before joining ECN Finance, he worked for MNP LLP out of their Edmonton office, where he completed his CPA articling. During that time, he gained valuable experience working with First Nations across Alberta, BC, and the Northwest Territories.

As the first CPA from Ermineskin, he hopes to inspire more of our band members to pursue careers in accounting and finance.

Before his accounting career, he worked in the construction industry as a Journeyman Electrician. In his spare time, he enjoys walking in the Edmonton Ravines and River Valley with his wife and their two dogs, Sully and Remi, or playing rec league hockey in the River Cree Hockey League.
