Mariama Dupuis

Mariama Dupuis is Partner, Chief Administrative Officer at Sagard and joined the firm in 2021. Mariama oversees key strategic initiatives, such as partnerships, strategic planning, governance, and marketing & communications. 

Prior to Sagard, Mariama was interim CFO and Senior Director of Strategy and Finance at Just For Laughs Group, a live entertainment and media production company, where she oversaw all aspects of financial and strategic planning and implementation post-acquisition.

Mariama holds a MBA and a B.A. in Political Science and International Development from McGill University, and serves on the board of directors and investment committee of the Greater Montreal Foundation, a community foundation with approximately $500M of assets under management.

  • We sought to have more meaningful interactions with First Nations, Métis and Inuit people. The Indigenous Leadership Circle has been an opportunity to deepen my understanding of parts of their cultures and make new connections. Alicia has mobilized an incredible group of people who have been generous with their time, in sharing their experiences and having real conversations.

  • An actionable network. In many cases, friendships. We have had great speakers join the group during our sessions, and the co-founders are an exceptionally accomplished group of people that the members can reach out to when they seek advice. We have also been happy to make introductions when helpful for members.

  • We look for Indigenous business leaders or entrepreneurs between 25 and 40 that are on an upward professional or entrepreneurial trajectory, have overcome barriers, and have a track record of giving back to their community.
