Kayli Avveduti

Kayli Avveduti is a First Nations, nehiyaw iskwew/Cree woman from Alexander First Nation in Treaty Six territory. Kayli is currently the CEO for the Confederacy of Treaty Six First Nations.

Before her role at the Confederacy, Kayli served the Martin Family Initiative in several capacities in the Early Years Program advancing quickly from administrative assistant in Summer of 2020 to Program Design and Operations Manager in July 2021.

While working full time with the Martin Family, Kayli simultaneously supported the Alexander First Nation as an advisor to Chief and Council to conduct analysis and response to government legislation and emerging challenges. Through strategic planning sessions, she assisted Council in developing a framework for Council priorities and implementation.

Understanding that capacity building within Indigenous communities is a cornerstone to economic prosperity, Kayli has been a relentless advocate within her own community in bringing access to employment and educational opportunities for its members.

Kayli is a strategic mind who brings a belief system and a lived experience rooted in Indigenous Knowledge and Values to all she does. She is a trusted advisor and leader for Chiefs, Elders, community members and partners. Her tenacity and compassion for her People make Kayli an incredible advocate and leader. She works tirelessly to ensure communities are informed and working strategically to move First Nations initiatives forward.

Kayli completed her Master’s of Public Policy at McGill University and also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from MacEwan University.
