Jake Carey is a proud Skuppah Band member of the Nlaka'pamux Nation and a Registered Investment Representative with over seven years of experience in wealth management at RBC Dominion Securities. Currently serving as Associate Wealth Advisor with Nass Wealth Management, he supports discretionary portfolio management for $600M in client assets, specializing in investment research, portfolio construction, and strategic asset allocation.

His professional journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to bridging Indigenous values with modern financial stewardship. As a CFP and CFA Level I candidate, he brings technical expertise in capital markets, ESG investing, and institutional asset management. However, his most meaningful work centers on applying Indigenous principles—intergenerational stewardship, holistic well-being, and relationship-based reciprocity—to investment philosophy and client engagement.

Through his involvement with RBC's Royal Eagles Indigenous ERG and as a mentor and judge at Pow Wow Pitch, he actively supports Indigenous entrepreneurship and economic sovereignty. He believes that Indigenous communities deserve access to sophisticated wealth management that honors our worldviews while building sustainable, generational prosperity.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from the University of Victoria and maintain IIROC registration alongside comprehensive wealth planning credentials. His vision is to leverage financial expertise and cultural understanding to support Indigenous institutions in achieving their long-term capital stewardship goals, ensuring our communities control their economic futures while preserving the values that define us.
