Our story
Our origins
The initiative was created by 11 co-founders who recognized the opportunity to elevate emerging Indigenous business leaders through a membership-based program consisting of relationship-building, high-impact programming including both professional and cultural activities, mentorship, and networking.
By bringing together emerging Indigenous leaders with inspiring speakers and industry professionals, the Indigenous Leadership Circle creates space for young Indigenous leaders to enhance their leadership skills, network, and business acumen.

The Indigenous Leadership Circle (ILC) is a group of hand-picked members of First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities who are dedicated to building their network, exchanging and advancing their ideas, serving their communities, and pushing each other forward as allies and friends.

Our purpose
Indigenous Peoples and communities in Canada have experienced systemic barriers to professional advancement, and in many instances do not have the resources, opportunities and support systems to build wealth and make enduring impact at scale, however defined. The ILC works with and strives to support proven leaders who are making their mark, and increasing Indigenous peoples’ business opportunity sets and creating positive impact within Indigenous communities.
