Event Overview: Québec City and Wendake - February 2026
For their first gathering of 2026, the group travelled to Québec City and Wendake for an enriching experience focused on Indigenous leadership, business and cultural immersion. Members had the opportunity to connect through a networking session and a guided visit to Old Québec before being welcomed in a ceremony in Wendake. They heard from Haskan Sioui, General Director of First Nations Venture Capital of Québec, and Francis Verreault-Paul, Chief of the Assembly of First Nations Québec-Labrador, gaining valuable perspectives on Indigenous business and leadership. The gathering also included the Onhwa’ Lumina experience, visits to the Huron-Wendat Museum and Huron Traditional Site, and a tour of Bastien Industries, offering members a deeper understanding of Huron-Wendat history, culture and entrepreneurship.
