For the third and final marquee gathering of 2025, the group traveled West to Alberta for two enriching days focused on culture and natural exploration. Members had the unique opportunity to dine with Indigenous business leaders in downtown Calgary, visit the Siksika Nation (Blackfoot), where they were welcomed in ceremony, learned about Siksika Nation’s history and contemporary business and governance issues,  and attended the Siksika annual powwow. The trip culminated with a memorable hike in Canmore, led by an Indigenous guide who shared her deep knowledge of the land and our commitment to it as Indigenous peoples.
