Chelsea Young
Chelsea Young is of Inuit ancestry and works as an associate lawyer at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP (Fasken) in Toronto, Ontario. She maintains a broad practice in corporate/commercial and securities law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, corporate finance and corporate governance matters. Chelsea also serves as a director on the Aboriginal Legal Services' Board of Directors and is passionate about access to justice initiatives and programs that support Indigenous controlled and culturally based justice alternatives.

I believe that Indigenous role models and leaders are essential for creating positive change and improving outcomes for Indigenous communities. I hope to work towards increasing the representation of Indigenous Peoples in positions of power within the legal sector, and to serve as a positive role model for Indigenous youth working towards their own leadership goals.
